Main Article Content
Abstract
The location of Trenggalek Port is traditionally quite strategic, as well as geographically, so that the potential for its development in the future is expected to occur significantly. Infrastructure support in the form of adequate port building infrastructure will further spur economic growth. In a good port planning perspective, the location of the network is systematically able to play a role in smoothing the movement of the transportation system as a whole. Thus, planning and development need to be organized in an unified and integrated system. Therefore this study aims to initially identify the planning location of the Port of Trenggalek on a macro basis. The location of the port is very important, especially in relation to the role of the economy. The aspects reviewed include regional aspects, both in the plan of the hinterland region and the area in Trenggalek Regency itself, regional economic aspects, the performance of the nearest ports, disaster-prone components, and environmental aspects. Then the weighting comparison of the alternative locations has been determined based on these criteria.
